greeting from Zimmerman, MN. My wife and I have been avid bikers for 20yrs. We each have Merlin road bikes(Road and Extralight) and Trek mtn. bikes(EX-9) as well as the older bikes you Never sell but have as spares! We currently have an older Cannondale tandem we bought used to see if we liked it. My wife recently went through ACL knee surgery and the tandem was the one bike the Docs OK'd to ride! We are using this site to help answer all those questions on purchase of new tandem. So far, it's been very intersting and helpfull. We love to keep riding as long as we can in the chilly north country, there isn't really "cold" weather just bad clothing choices!

Hi merlin2, you know we have a Winter Cycling forum, just for those of you in the northern part of the Americas? Yup, that's right! Doctors love to tell their knee surgery patients that cycling is fine, just don't do any running...
