Hey Everyone!
This is votenic, ok, that's not my name, but I'm the Kid in charge of votenic.com-a presidential candidate weekly poll. I'm an avid biker and I look forward to posting what I can to add value.

Hello votenic, I'm guessing that in about a month you might want to ask for access to Politics & Religion
.
In the meantime, what kind of bike are you riding?
Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions

Thanks!
Thanks for the tip! Right now I'm riding a cannondale mountain bike, it's nothing special but it's held up some major pounding, I've taken it down devil's gulch in WA and Its been great on some of the extreme trails in Boise ID. I'm of course saving up to get something with more suspension. I know I need to get one soon, as gas gets more expensive and more people turn to bikes as a substantial method of transportation.
Along those lines: I had a chat with the owner of a local bike shop this morning, and he mentioned this last week was his busiest in the 35 years he's been in business. Kinda interesting.
I'm really excited to participate in this forum and thank you again for the support!

Devil's Gulch in WA? Trails in Boise? Where are you located? I'm in Kent, WA, about 20 miles southeast of Seattle.

That's cool! I've lived in Kirkland, and Fall City WA my whole life until I moved to Meridian (20 minutes south of Boise) ID four months ago.

Boise is nice, but I bet you miss the PNW even so.

Oh yeah I miss it(sniff). I mean I don't really miss the rain, but the greenery here can't even begin to compete with Washington. Having the Summit thirty minutes from home and hiking trails ten minutes away is the one thing I took for granted, until of course, I moved here! But Its all good, I can adapt.
What kind of biking are you into?(mountain, street, etc..)

Mostly road, but I do have a mountain bike, which currently is getting a lot of use because it's my default commuter until I get my Rodriguez back on the road with a proper seatpost.

Rodriguez huh? Nice bikes, I always wanted to check out their shop in Seattle, but never got around to it.
Man, I don't know how else to commute now with gas prices skyrocketing, oh, something scary, Three of the five car dealerships here in meridian have gone out of business. this month! And a local bike shop owner told me bike dealers like DB are raising their prices due to the increasing demand of bicycles, Is that true?

Yeah, my Rodriguez is a spritely little thing! That's really interesting that the car dealers are going out of business...I don't know about BD raising prices--you could ask Mike, the owner, about that...

Thanks for the tip! Have you been a street biker for long? I've been thinking about whether I should get a full suspension, cause that would be fun, or a road bike (for commute) Are there any brands you would recommend for both?
