Hello from the Ottawa Valley

Hi. My name is Mike. Im 24 and I just start biking again. I am overweight and I am trying to get in shape. I decided that bicycling would be the best way for me to reach my goal to loose 80-90 pounds. I just started to commute to work on my bike. I recently picked up a late model Schwinn Foldy and so far I like it. Its light and pretty nimble from the bikes that I used to ride when I was a kid. Anyway Im looking forward to learning and sharing experiences with you all.

Thanks
Mike (rustyfloorwell)

Congrats on the decision. Just know that it's a matter of lifestyle...don't get too stuck on numbers that appear not to change. Enjoy the ride, and the rest will happen soon enough.

Hello Mike--if you have not already found your way there, the Clydesdales/Athenas forum is a great place for the bigger cyclist to hang out. Lots of information, and some really motivational stories too!

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !
