Hello from Sanibel and Worcester

I've been riding a recumbent LifeCycle for years (well, decades). In Worcester MA, riding a bike is not the safest venture due to the auto traffic and most automobile driver's attitude. We spend as much time as we can on Sanibel Island in FL and plan to retire there. Sanibel has wonderful bike paths and an enlightened view towards bicyclers - and cars respect the riders. When on Sanibel, I rent a recumbent trike (a Sun EZ-3), but plan to buy a recumbent trike soon. The alternatives are a bit overwhelming. The easy decision would be to go with a Sun EZ-3 USX - but I hope to learn more about recumbent trikes and gain knowledge enough to choose the right trike.

I do love my daily rides on Sanibel - through the nature preserves, alligator preserves, and around the town. If you have questions about Sanibel (and the best option for renting bicycles of all kinds on the Island), be happy to help.

Thanks!

Richard

Hi Richard, and welcome to the forum! I'm 25 miles north of you when you're in Worcester and the riding up around the Mt Wachusett area and northwest of it is a lot better. Glad to have you on board here, and wishing you lots of happy riding wherever you happen to be!

Hello Richard--I know that the regulars in the Recumbent forum can help you make up your mind, even if I can't.

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !
