Howdy From Seattle!

New to BF and I'm impressed with the energy I've seen thus far. Been cycling about 6 years now, but started rather late (better late then never!!) and am enjoying the people and the sport. Good to be here!

Hello Art--are you actually in Seattle, or are you in one of the 'burbs? Where do you do most of your riding?

I'm located in Kent, and do a lot of riding on the Interurban Trail, the GRT, etc.

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !

I actually live in Capitol Hill and do most of my riding to points east, north, and south. I don't usually go "west" with the ferrys, since home chores, family life (I have an 11 year old son who loves soccer!) usually preclude an all day training ride. I have done the Chilly Hilly, Penninsula Metric, and some riding on Whidbey Island, but most of the time our group does the lake (clockwise), Redmond (got to stop at Victor's for coffee and waffles, East Lake Sammamish, Fall City, North Bend, May Valley Road, Cedar River Trail, and the south end of the Lake. Sometimes I do a 100 miler that goes out to Snohomish and continues out to the end of the Centennial Trail. By the time I get back to Cap Hill, my computer usually says "100", and I feel like I got a good workout.

Were you at TdB this year? Did you see any of the BF members?
