Hello from Fresno

I am hoggster
I ride:
Giant OCR C2
Mercier Kilo TT
Diamondback Peak (street style)
Hoffman Disrupter EL2

I have been riding BMX since I was a wee lad. Now I have switched to road and such because I am pretty much beat up too bad for the dirt. I love my bikes...a lot!

I commute a total of 22 miles a day and it is definitely what I look forward to at the end of the work day. On lunch I like to bomb around downtown Fresno passing cars. The looks are priceless. There aren't too many people flying around downtown out here.

Anyway, Hello. Thanks for having me.

Hi hoggster, I think most people don't ride in Fresno because it is too dang hot! Still, there are a few BF members in Fresno! Yeah, really!!

You have my respect for being dedicated enough to ride in the heat .

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !

Welcome to Bikeforums....

One of my favorite roadside stops while driving up from Southern California a few years ago was in Fresno.

We had a nice tour of a very unique old home.

Enjoy the forum, I do!!!

Interviewed for jobs with the city a couple of times. Interesting place. I liked the proximity to the mountains and the coast wasn't that bad of a drive. Even had an aunt who once lived there...till she shacked up with a wealthy San Franciscan...this was in the 50's and 60's.

Welcome to the forums.

Welcome aboard, hoggster. I'm new to BF too. I was stationed at Lemoore NAS back in the 70s, and a big Friday night for us was to drive up to Fresno. Are you getting firestorm smoke down there the way we are here, up in Sacramento?

Yes we are. The black lung is imminent for the bikers! Oh well, the change from cars for commute has to start somewhere.

I used to train for 50m pool races out at Lemoore NAS.

Thanks for all the welcoming replies!
