Howdy from Seattle!

Having relied on the forums for repair and parts research for years now, I figured it's time to sign up since I actually have a question I can't find the answer for here!

I'm a daily rider with a 15 mile r/t commute from my home in the Ballard neighborhood to my office downtown Seattle, and a weekend warrior with my wife and varying groups of friends, plus occasional mid-day and after work rides with colleagues.

My current commuter bike is a '92 Shogun Prarie Breaker Pro I bought new and has been through various incarnations as a mountain bike and out-and-about town bike. It is about to retired in favor of a '98 LeMond Tourmalet I'm building that's been a not-terribly urgent project for the last few weeks. My fun bike is a '05 LeMond Alpe d'Huez, although it sees its fair share of commuting when the weather's nice.

Hello emarone, don't forget to check in with the PNW regional forum. I lived in Ballard many years ago when I first arrived in Seattle. The neighbourhood's changed quite a bit since I lived there. Still a nice place, although I miss some of the old fashioned shops that used to be there.

What do you mean you can't get lutefisk in Ballard any more ?

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !
