Hello all, humbert here, from Brighton (UK). I just found this forum following a link about the dear, recently departed Sheldon Brown, who I see was posting here on the day he died. What a remarkable man.

I've been into cycling all my life..was a courier in London for a couple of years, which was probably when I was at my fittest (and most reckless). Now, 20 years on, I have a venerable 16 year-old KHS unsprung mountain bike that I'm about to convert to a single speed (not fixed, as Sheldon would want...), a three year-old Giant Trance 2, upon which I like to get lost on the South Downs, and a brand new tailor-made Enigma Etape titanium roadbike, which I love beyond words (good job too...it wasn't cheap).

Looking forward to building my knowledge and making some virtual friends on here

Hello Humbert, could we see photos of the Etape? I don't think I've seen one of those before.

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !

Thanks for the warm welcome East Hill...

Not sure how to do the picture thing on this forum but there's a Flickr set of the bike here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/martin_...7604261356651/

Lovely open cockpit, allows one to actually see the road ahead. A lovely bike.
