Hello from Cottage Grove, Minnesota!

Hello to all. I am here mainly because I am going to start commuting to work. I own a 2003 Specialized Expedition Sport Hybrid bike. I love it. I have ridden it off and on over the years. But this year I am a bit more serious about it. Up until now it has been 10-15 miles rides in the area nightly for exercise and recreation. But now I have a route planned for my commute that I did on Bikley dot com. It's a 12.5 one way commute.

I am choosing to commute for a few reasons. 1. Gas is to expensive, 2. The health benefits are awesome, 3. It is so much better for the environment, 4. oops, that's more than a few...oh well. 4. Because I love to be out riding my bike, and commuting just adds 24 more miles a day..I can't get enough of riding the bike.

So, I am looking forward to reading the forums here and learning all I can about the cycling world.

Alan..
