I'm New!

Hello everyone.

Yes I would be the newbie here. I live in the Sunshine state in the town of St Augustine, FL.

I picked up a used Mountain Bike to ride some of the trails around my house and found out I liked riding on the street more so next came a new Trek that I picked up a little over a week ago. The more I get into this the better i'm liking it. My goal was to get some workouts maybe loose a couple of pounds and start eating better. And learn what I can about this new Hobby.......

New? Why yes you are!

I too bounce between my roadie and my mtb's - in fact I'm taking the full suspension Toy down to PA tomorrow for a weekend of railtrail and deertrails up the mountain. And plan on another solo century this next friday on the roadie.

Good for ya!!!

Been car free for >10 years here and ride year round - two wheel excellent fun! And yes - the more ya get into it the more you enjoy it. When I first really started bicycling more many years ago - oh man ----- a slight incline - a slight headwind was enough for me to clock 2.5 miles and Hmmph! I'm done! Took the bike home.

hehe Did 110 miles a few fridays ago, no problem.

Have Fun!!!! And Welcome as well!!!

There is something here on this forum for everybody btw. Most of us kind of settle into our own favorite threads - personally I spend a big amount of time in Foo (I'm a silly gal!), but also in the commuting, living car free threads. And when I want to go let out some angst - I go hit the Advocacy area as I am a big time bicycle advocate and get involved in some of that, and others as well. Like I said - there's lots here for you to do! Have fun!!!

Hi ZOOK . Most important thing about cycling is to HAVE FUN. Everything else is just gravy (figuratively speaking of course, that's not a nutrition tip ) . So what two bikes do you have in particular?
