Hello from eastern NC

Hi everybody,

New guy from New Bern, NC....

I just recently got into road biking this spring when my Dad gave me his old Trek. I have been riding ~300 miles/month since I found a local group that does a Sunday morning ride to add to a couple solo rides each week.

I also did a sprint triathlon in May and am planning to do another next weekend.

Oh and I am planning to do a hundred miles each day for the Bike MS ride here in New Bern in September.

So, yeah you could say I fell for the bike thing pretty hard...

Love the forums here, lots of good info so I figured I should quit lurking and sign up,

Hello bernside, wow, that's a lot of miles for someone who just got into cycling. Good job! What bike did your father give you?

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !

Thanks for the welcome. The bike is a 1982 Trek 710. I posted a few pics in the classic/vintage section.
As for the mileage, I admit I have gone a bit nuts. But its a good kind of nuts.

Thumbs up on the photos for C & V .

And as to the mileage, hey, I am never going to say any one rides his/her bike too much .
