Hello Xgi, there are many, many members in Michigan, so you may have to be a little more specific about your area . You mean you don't ride in the snow? There's a Winter Cycling forum here... .

What are you riding by the way?

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !

Hello east hill Acutally I'm right near oscoda right on the shore on lake huron. My ride today was just incredible. Hardly any bikers here. I just about own the road in the AM. ride us-23/m-72 a lot. if you see a guy in a bright yellow shirt/blue bike good chances it's me

Love to ride as far as I can but me and the cold just don't play well with each other. Besides another one of my passions comes out of me that time of year and I just gotta do it

Anyway I was riding a mongoode switchback sx but that has become a sour subject with me and I might need some help later on. Now I saddled up a new pony and ride a cannondale adventure 600. this bike is really sweet and seems to fit me well

thank you for the welcome east hill BTW what a nice site plenty of useful info here

It's just about 6.30 am here in Kent, Washington, and yup, there's not too many folks out on the road at the moment. Give them a few hours, and they'll be out there, but for the moment, peace reigns!

I know, not everyone enjoys riding in the snow and cold, and perhaps we just don't get enough of it here, but I have enjoyed the days when I got out there with the mountain bike and rolled down the local bike path. I have not yet fully bike commuted in the ice/snow, so it will be interesting for me to find out what it's like.

wow that's nice. looks fast I can see this biking is going to cost me some dough. I bought a trek 6500 for the trail run yesterday. My cannondale 600 tires just don't cut it on that gravel.

we did over 70 miles yesterday.

now I know why they call that bike a hardtail

Nah, cycling is as cheap or as expensive as you want it to be.

The bike in my photo cost $1500, but it's certainly the most expensive bike I've ever owned. The rest of them cost me well under $2000, and I have 12 bikes total .
