A failed bike experiment

Hi all,

I'm new to the world of cycling - or was.

I bought a new bike on Saturday, fell of it on the way home, got a puncture on Sunday, got another on Tuesday, then had the thing nicked today (Wednesday).

I am not best pleased.

Despite leaving the thing locked (with two locks) to a bicycle rail outside Bermondsey tube station for two hours, it had just plain vanished when I came to jump on and ride home. All that was left was my d lock - still locked to the damn bike rail!

So, should anyone see a white-framed ladies moutain bike with dragon flies painted on the frame and seat, and Rockrider written on the frame, it's probably mine! Here's a pic: Some oaf has nicked my brand new bicycle! I left it locked to a bike rail outside Bermondsey tube station for two hours - with two locks - and all that was left when I got back was my d lock - still locked to the bike rail!

So, if anyone spots a ladies mountain bike with a white frame and little dragon flies painted on the frame and seat (it says Rockrider on the frame too), do let me know. Or better still, give Deptford police station a bell cos that's where I registered it stolen.

Poor wee bike. It was four days old and had barely begun to live. In fact, here's a pic: https://www.decathlon.co.uk/EN/rockri...en-s-34963444/

Let me know if you spot it.

I'm sticking to two legs and buses from now on.

Hello Damsel7, that sounds like a painfully poor introduction to cycling .

I don't think I will ever spot your bike (I'm on the other side of the world), but I will wish you the best of luck in getting it returned.

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !
