New from Duluth, MN
Hey everyone!
I'm an avid cyclist that is going to college in Duluth, MN. I both mountain bike and road bike. I love doing both of those two immensely. I started out as a cross country runner in high school but due to some knee problems and such I've switched over to biking for the most part. I also enjoy kayaking and rock climbing, and do some occasional trail running.
Anyways, I might as well talk about my two bikes . I have a Specialized Allez Expert that I just bought this spring, love hitting the road with it, still working on getting all my road biking gear since I started out as a commuter, went to mtb, and then to roadie.
My second bike is a Trek 6000 with disc brakes, I know its a hardtail but I like it on the singletrack, makes me a better rider. Both of my bikes have Shimano SPDs (M520s to be exact) on them, I didn't have enough money to buy road shoes for the Specialized because, well, I'm a college student.
Anyways, I travel all over the United States doing theatrical rigging installations during the summer months, so far only in Colorado and Kansas this summer, though we're heading through Michigan and Nebraska, then back to Kansas and Colorado. The job takes me to fun places to bike, and brings me through different cultures.
This next year I'll be studying abroad in Ireland and then traveling through Europe by bicycle (hopefully) for half the summer. I'll be looking for direction and tips on all of that as I've never toured before.
Well that's all I've got for now, I was just looking for a biking community and stumbled upon this one.
Happy trails.

Hello Daedalus--there's another member here who also likes theatrical rigging, although I can't recall who just at the moment. Perhaps you've run across her though?
