I started bicycling for fitness this past year and it is quickly becoming an addiction :)

Hi East Hill:

I ride mostly on the paved city trails here in albuquerque ( see http://www.cabq.gov/openspace/paseodelbosquetrail.html ) . The bike I'm riding is a hybrid Trek 7.3 fx. This is the first bike I've owned since I was a kid. It has served me well so far but I am also looking to buy a road bike in the not too distant future because this is where this habit is leading me to. Any suggestions?

Or, you could pick up a reasonably priced aluminium framed bike. Trek, Specialized, and many other marques make excellent intermediate bikes for around $1500. You can also get a good starter road bike for under $1000. Or, you could check into the used bike market, such as Craigslist.

Most important thing is fit :) .
