Need a bike match
I am 34 yrs old, 240lbs and in pretty good shape. I am looking to commute to work around 17 mls each way. My route has 2 straight roads and no hills. From my house to main road 1.3 miles and the rest is a 15.7 mile straight shot to the Gate. I have only used mtn bikes recreational use and have no clue on the right commuter bike. Can anyone help?

Put some slicks on the mtn bike and go for it.
Once you get faster, look at road bikes.
I commute to a bike ride. Commute is 15 miles r/t.
Mon 85 mi
Thur 100 mi
Fri another 100 mi
