American in Sweden Saying 'Hi'

Hi all. Just discovered and joined the forums. I'm an American who immigrated to Sweden when she got married. I'm not a terribly hard core rider, just an enthusiast who's always loved cycling even when she was an 8 year old child and panicking her parents because she vanished on a day long trips. I think more than half the gray in my mom's hair came from me coming home and telling her I was someplace that was 20 or more miles from home.

Severe back problems kept me from cycling for a few years, but then I discovered recumbent trikes (armchair with pedals as my husband calls it). I was given a tadpole trike for my birthday a couple years ago and I've been thrilled to death being able to start getting back in shape. Logged over 1000 miles this year, half of those with a male husky keeping me company.

I started looking for forums for information on planning trips road trips through Sweden and eventually other parts of Europe. My husband travels a lot and it occurred to me that it would be fun to pack up trike, dog and gear and explore what I can under my own power.
