70 year old from So. Oregon by way of So. Cal

Hello to all. My wife and I are from the Long Beach/San Pedro area of So. Cal. I haven't been riding at all for about 30 years and it's time to get back into shape. I am a somewhat retired member of the PGA and golf has taken up my life for too long. We live in Selma, Oregon (about 25 miles from Grants Pass). My wife has a Schwinn mtb compliments of our kids and I just bought a nice used Giant OCR Two and a used KHS mtb. I am sure there is nothing like a new bike, but I love tinkering with the Giant and KHS and getting them to be smooth as possible (and they are). Thanks for the Forum and to the contributors. Their wealth of information will be greatly used.
BTW: Anyone have recommendations for riding in the So. Oregon area?

Welcome to BF. I'll be 64 in a few weeks. There are several others here in their late 60s and a few in their 70s. Stop by the 50+ forum and introduce yourself.
