Introducing monself

I've been reading stuff on this site for so long I thought it was time I signed up, particularly as I wanted to look at the pics.
Am currently restoring an old frame, supposedly a Colnago, but almost certainly not. Nevertheless a neat piece of steel.
What might interest some readers is that I live in Grenoble, France, once home of Liberia cycles, one of the great French brands, now defunct. The city's flea market, and other such places, are still a paradise for anyone with an eye for an ageing star, often in surprisingly good nick. Finding more recent MTBs of decent quality is much more difficult.
In due course I'll be posting some snaps of my fake 'Nago, in the hope that someone may have seen something similar in the past.
Till then, take care.

Welcome to BF.
Old bikes are fun to work with and ride.
Send some pics of your town and bikes when you get them.

Hi zappimax--if you have not already done so, post some photos in C & V and let the experts try their hand at identifying your bike--they love a good challenge!

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions !
