Hola from Houston

Hola, Everyone!

I am an old rider from way back, even a commuter once upon a time. Today my home and job are too far apart, and I haven't even been on my bike in years.

In 1992 I did a couple of long rides, and even did the MS-150 and the Alamo Challenge in the same year (weekend supported charity rides).

I am getting back on again tho - my wife is also getting re-interested, and so I found this forum.

Since I am not a young as I used to be, I am also looking into recumbents.

Also take a look at cyclo-cross bikes. They have the efficiency of road bikes without the weight of the tourers.

How old is the Trek? If it has downtube shifters, you should come visit us in the Classic & Vintage forum!

Welcome to BF, and feel free to PM me with any questions :) !
