I am back after over 10 years.

When I was growing up I fixed up my dad's bike, a 1980 something Peugeot. I would ride on the week ends down the Arizona Canal.

I am now in my late 20's and after discovering the Velodrome in Redmond, Washington I decided to start riding. I was facinated by the Friday night races and set out to buy a bike.

After months of looking and saving (and my wife's bonus) I purchased a 08 Trek 1.2.

My first few rides were about 10 miles and then grew into 20. After a month of riding I was enjoying 50 mile rides to Seattle and back. I am by no means breaking any records now, but I hope to get in shape and take some lessons at the Velodrome.

2002 = 265 Lbs
2008 = 209 Lbs
2009 Goal 185 LBS

I look forward to reading all of your advice.

Cool beans.

I started riding about a year ago after a hiatus of about 20 years. You're already over the hard part of the learning curve. Good job.
I stop for people / whose right of way I honor / but not for no one.
