Damn winter!
Hey all,
Just wanted to say hello to what looks like a great and friendly group.
My name is Chris and I live in what may be the coldest armpit of hell: Montreal, Quebec. last week the high was -27 (without the windchill....).
The good news is that the cold does not stop me from getting on my trainer (a shiny new tacx Fortius) and banging out some miles in the comfort of my living room.
I ride a 2006 Specialized Roubaix Elite with Ultegra SL and a carbon FSA crank and am just about to pick up a 2007 Specialized tarmac pro for shorter rides and crits.
I'm 33 and used to race X-country MTB about 10 years ago for 5 years and even raced pro (Elite here) for 1 season. i fell back in love with bikes about 2 years ago when i bought my first road bike and started riding for fun, which turned into a passion again and last year I started doing a couple of local races, which I loved.
If there are some sport riders from MTL here, give me a shout so we can try to get together for a good group ride this spring/summer.
Looking forward to warmer days,
Chris

Hello Chris, there are indeed riders here from Montreal--check out the regional forums to figure out who they are. Also, you can probably find them if you hang out in the Road Cycling forum.
Enjoy your riding, and Welcome to BikeForums
