Retired / winters in FL / summers in NC

Hi. I am in my second childhood, devoting my life to sports. I live in east central Florida in the winter and western North Carolina in the summer. I have been cycling all my life. Reached a peak when I rode to and from work every day plus many miles on the weekend. I am getting back into it now. I have 4 bikes; a Cannondale touring modified for city riding, a Strida that I am electrifying, a Currie, and a Giant ATB. Mostly I ride the Cannondale, but only about 30 miles a week.

Tennis is my main sport. I play 4 or five times a week, and play in leagues and ladders.

Life is good, the water in the winter and the mountains in the summer. I look forward to more riding and more messing with my wheels

Hi Jim. We've got a bit in common. My main sport was Tennis up until a couple of years ago when biking took over my life. I was even the President of our Tennis Club for a few years. I played in a doubles league and a singles ladder for years. Now I get much more enjoyment out of biking on the weekends in the countryside and commuting to work once the weather gets a bit better. Not sure if I'm even going to renew my tennis membership this year.

Enough about me Welcome to Bike Forums.

Hi Jim! Tennis is nice, but you can't commute by playing tennis . I always found that I got more exercise from retrieving the balls that I hit over the fence . I really was inept. Cycling, I am ept .

Welcome to BikeForums, and don't hesitate to send me a PM if you have any questions.
