designing a hitch type bike rack

Hi,

I have designed a hitch type bike rack. I noticed the people on this site had wrote some interesting thinks about the ones they once owned and now own. I made one that holds the bikes in a veritcal position without removing the front wheel. Right now I have it ready to hold 5 bikes. Someone from a rack maker has contacted me about the thing. I was wonder if I should make them myself or (if offered) sell the idea to them. Reason I ask, I noticed in some of the responses in this web site, most designs are discontinued after the take over/buy out. The design allows the bike rider to open the rack (just like a gate) to give you full free access to your trunk/hatch or truck bed. It excpts all bikes, from a childs size with training wheels from the largest wheel diameter. Working on an idea so a recumbent trike can be loaded.
I have built one and and it works very well.

Well, it certainly sounds interesting. How did the rack maker find out about your design?
