G'd Day from West Michigan, U.S.A.

I currently ride a mountain bike, a vintage Specialized RockHopper Comp(circa 1987). It has served me well all these years(It's on it's 4th set of tires at least). I reside in Jenison, MI, and have been fortunate enough to spend a good deal of time traveling the Southwestern U.S., camping, riding and backpacking in the Tucson, AZ, area, as well as Colorado and Utah. I have climbed peaks in Arizona, Colorado, and California. I hope to relocate to the Tucson area sometime in the not too distant future. I love my old Specialized bike, maybe someday I will upgrade, but I can't seem to wear this one out. I have replaced the original indexed shifter mechanism with a more modern style. The only serious breakage was when I broke a pedal out of one of the cranks and had to replace the right crank arm.

This looks to be a great informative forum for bike riders. Great to have found it and be here. Have a fine day peoples. .

Welcome to Bike Forums, Ado!! Seems to me you have done quite a bit of adventurous things. It's great to be able to experience that. Hang on to that old Specialized, there's nothing like a good tough bike that never dies. Just get a new one to add to your stable! I still have my old GT "triple triangle" framed mtb from back in the day.
