Hello all first post here
Hi everyone,
My name is Anthony. I'm getting into cycling again after quite some time. I was a mountain biker and can remember purchasing my first stump jumper. So when my father came out of cancer treatments, I thought cycling would be great to get back into and I bought he and I a bike. Since it was a couple of years ago, I wasn't quite sure what kind of riding we would get into. Some road, some light dirt and gravel trails. So I ended up getting him a Cannondale Badboy and myself a Fisher Mendota. I love my bike. But, early this year, my father has lost interest and mine has grown. I seriously enjoy road cycling and have even got my best mate to purchase a new road bike and come along. I however had a problem. I had a bike that was a fast city bike, but not a true by definition road bike. The Mendota has Bontrager select disk road wheels, nice geometry for me and light. So I like modifying things, and thought what the heck. I've swapped the flat bars for nice Ritchey ergo drops and Tiagra STI shifters. Gone with 105 derailers and swapped out the cranks to Tiagra. Got a new saddle, Speciallized Avatar and went for a full professional fit. I'm loving it. Very fast bike. I have to swap out the 700x32's for 700x23 or 25's. But were still in winter so no rush. Currently training for what appears to be a busy spring summer ride schedule with some 100+ mile rides in there.
Well anyway, I know that was long, but wanted a proper introduction.

It looks like you will be having a great year. Any thoughts on changing the pedals? What happened to the Badboy?

I installed Shimano spd pedals with specialized comp Mtn shoes. Their okay, great for walking around but more float than I would prefer. I'll end up swapping to proper road pedals and shoes later this year.
The Badboy is hanging on my fathers loft wall. Nice art.
