let me introduce myself

I'm an old hand at riding, at least 45 years and still going strong. I have ridden a variety of venues, road trail and single track. No down-hilling or bmx though. I'm 51 y.o. and have just given myself a new 2009 Trek 7.5 performance hybrid which I love! I've had it about 3 weeks and put on 100 miles. I know that doesn't sound like much to some of you but between work and the weather here in NY in Feb I think i squeezed in a few good rides. My goal is to ride the century to Montauk LI in May. of this year. I'm looking to pick up lots of good info here on this site. I've been lurking for a while and have decided that you guys have a lot to offer. Thanks for letting us in on such a cool place.
