Hello, long time reader first time poster

Hello, first time post. Been riding to work and some trails daily for the last 2 years, been reading for about a year and a half (long lurking history on forums, overall) figured i'd say hello. Currently residing in Michigan and LOVING the melt, haven't been able to ride for a few months, and soon moving to dallas. I'll tell you one thing, everything i've read says Dallas isn't bike friendly, but compared to the 2 foot dirt shoulder i get stuck on, it appears heavenly. In any case, hello all! I'm riding a 2007 gary fisher kaitai, great bike...it's put up with me beating it over speedbumps and trails and the ****ty roads around here just fine, one broken spoke and one flat tire over 1300 miles. I deserved the spoke, had to hop a 2 foot curb because some ******* tried to hit me.
anyways, hello! I'll go on and start harrassing the commuter forum now.

Welcome to Bikeforums. This place is the most helpful place on the web for a beginning cyclist, especially a commuter, (that's what got me to join, too.)

well, i wouldn't say i'm a beginning cyclist, as i rode to my last job(s) for over 2 years and over about a winter and a half when the snow didn't get up to the bottom crank swing...just last winter i got clipped and wrecked a car AND my bike from some freakin work van....so i got more cautious.
thank you for the welcome! Where do you commute?
