Hi All, From Palatine, Illinois

Hi, I'm Rob.

I've been accumulating a lot of bike miles for many years now. I like to reset my odometer each year to keep track of how many miles I ride each year (it's usually over 1,000 now and my best year was over 2,000).

I am currently riding a Trek 1500 road bike but am really liking the recumbents that I have ridden recently. I hope to get a LWB recumbent soon.

I've just been reading through a bunch of the posts here and have been wondering why I haven't followed this forum until now!

Thanks, Rob.

Thinking about recumbents messes with your brain. :50: ;)

A little more than thinking I guess

OK, I've been doing more than just thinking about bents. I have a freind that I ride with often that had a Bachetta Giro (short wheel base) and now has a Tour Easy (long wheel base) and I have ridden both of these on some long trail rides.

I remember being pretty sore after riding something like 50 miles on my road bike and then trading bikes (to ride the bent) and it was just SO comfortable! Also, I like the view better.

I started shopping for bents at the end of last year, but am now unemployeed (like a lot of other people) so the bent purchase needs to be on hold for a little bit.

I also like the idea of more than one bike (I don't know about tattoos!) so I would probably keep my Trek for a while too.

Thanks for your comments!
