biking cross country for research - help
Hello,
I am a Junior at the university of vermont attempting a research project that will take me biking across the US this summer. Along the way I am looking at environmentalism/sustainability as a social change movement and seeing how far along in the movement we are. I plan take about 90 days this summer conducting interviews and surveys along the way in addition to my observations. I am here to get advice on locations, routes, anything that would sound like it pertains to what I am doing. My main concern is biking a route that will take me through an obvious transition of demographics. Do you think the adventure cycling routes would be sufficient? Any support is good. |
I'm not familiar with these adventure cycling routes you're referring to, but if you're going to be near the Ozarks, I can refer you to a couple who have an interesting set-up in Ava, Mo.
You might want to check in to the Touring forum. Welcome, and best of fortune on your upcoming adventure. Z |
mmm I think I might end up farther north than Avo but if I am around there I will let you know. Thanks

Check out RE forums
You may want to ask around in RE forums like Fieldlines http://www.fieldlines.com/ for people that would let you see their setups.. as far as what route to take? Does it matter? You sound like your project would be best off with a mix of things.

Thanks, this is a great site! As far as the route goes, I will need to encounter the metropolitan areas and subsequently everything in between
