Hey there....from L.I.

just found the forum, awesome topics & lots of insight. Born in early 1960's, always rode as a kid. First new MTB = '85 chrome Mongoose ATB, 32lbs of fun..& never looked back. Moved to NYC 1986, sold car, spent every penny on a '86 Procaliber. Both still have working Union generator lights, loved that night riding, especially when Central Park horse trails were legal way back then. in 96' had two years of bliss in Asheville NC w/riding Bent Creek & Pisgah. My Procaliber was finally happy.. wow great Rigid bike on those singletracks. Weekender rides last 10 years. Breakout the Procaliber for NYC 5 Boro yearly. Use my 06 stumpjumper hardtail for the Bike M.S. fundraising rides, putting on my slicks. I hope to see some of you all, on the L.I. trails & 5 boro.
