Hello from MPLS
A little bit about me:
I took the training wheels off in the spring before my fifth birthday, and I've been riding ever since. Off-road riding with my father first got me excited about cycling, however, it's been quite a while since I've done any trail riding. Nowadays most of my riding is commuting but every now and then I get a chance to ride for the sake of riding.
My main pair of wheels is a Batavus Tour de l'Europe, circa 1973, now a fixed-wheel conversion. I've been slowly building and improving it ever since I discovered it, incomplete and neglected. I also have a 2007 Trek 4500 with a couple of upgrades stemming from replacing parts destroyed by Minnesota winters, more specifically, road salt.
I work at a used bike shop, and grew up working on my own bikes. I've recently completed the last of my classes required to obtain an AS in Sound Arts, with the hopes of someday applying that as a studio sound engineer. I've also had some experience in steel sculpture, and have been entertaining the thought of trying to build frames as of late. It's an overcrowded field, I know, but probably less-so than that of wannabe sound engineer.
