Hello world
Just thought I would introduce myself after lurking here on the forums for several weeks. I currently reside in VA (USA), but will soon be moving. Biking in its myriad forms is great, though I ride primarily on-road on a late-90's Fuji non-suspension Mt bike (w/ slicks) to avoid using a car. That said, I do enjoy going on pleasure/training rides as well.
I come from a background in hiking/backpacking and canoe tripping, so I would love to get to the point (both physically and with gear) to be able to do loaded touring (something that my wife isn't as keen on). Long distances pull me, though I normally ride around 10-15 miles a day. Oh, and I love working on my bike and am learning more maintenance.
At any rate, thanks for all that I have learned from you already!
