I'm from Montreal, QC Canada.
My ride's a Cannondale Road Warrior 700. My son and daughter both ride with me- they ride Giant road bikes.
Most recent ride was a 76+km ride through scenic Lake of Two Mountains - OKA - Hudson, Quebec- two ferries ride.
We also enjoy riding to Old Montreal from the West Island of Montreal (where we live).
We participated in the Tour De L'Ile Montreal this year as well as the last 3 years.
In my spare time I sell air purifiers, air cleaners

Happy riding to all you road warriors
Lito

Hey there Brian,
We're in Pierrefonds, close to Sources Blvd. side.
Lots of good routes from here.
The thumbnail photo I used here was taken overlooking the boardwalk, St.Anne de Bellevue- nice view.

Ste Anne, huh? We ride out there all the time, from NDG. It's great that your kids are into bikes! At least they aren't West Island "Rug rats", playing video games all day.

many times we drive to 55th avenure in Lachine, from there ride to Old Montreal and back. another variation is we ride to Ile Notre Dame via the Ice Bridge then head back to Lachine, sometimes passing by Old Port for a Beaver Tail before heading back

Picking up my daughter's bike in Lasalle (left behind after the Tour De L'Ile ride)- we may ride to St. Anne through Chemin St. Marie, John Abbott then back through Senneville, Pierrefonds.

Have a good ride!!

The Oka Hudson loop is one of my favorite rides, with sandwich lunch on the ferry from Oka to Hudson. It is about 100km starting from Montreal West. The only unpleasant part is getting across the island from Lakeshore Blvd to Ile Bizard. I sometimes commute St Hubert airport, and have started trying more routes on the South Shore.

from lakeshore blvd., you could go north on Sources blvd.- there's an overpass for pedestrians (and bikers) that go over the highway 20.
then, if you're riding by yourself or with other adults, cross over to the north side of sources blvd (north of the 40), stay on your bike OR with younger riders, cross over by walking your bike on the side walk until you get to the north side of sources blvd
sources blvd north to gouin blvd, left on gouin going east (popular with bikers / cyclist), until you get to Jacques Bizard, turn right, etc.

montreal c'est tres cool...
i was up there for the jazz fest, brought my bike with me (well yeah! how else would i get around a city) and was so happy there...my dream: new orleans in the winter, montreal in the summer. climbing mont real every couple of days would really get my quads in shape, especially on the fixed gear. didn't see many of those in montreal, but loved...LOVED...tout le femme jolie en skirts (haha my french sucks...je suis desole...twill be mejor l'annee prochaine)
c'est divertee a mix up los lenguas, si?
peace - ben
