I am so happy I found this forum, I am not a cyclist yet, but I'll be in couple of weeks, I am from Europe, living in DC metro area. Looking to make some friends around Alexandria VA-DC-Fort Washington MD. 
If someone on here can give me some tips on what kind of bike to get for road and trail riding, on the cheaper side, for a newbie, well I rode a bycicle last time about 16 years ago.
