hello. my name is ryan. i live in denver and ride a republic fixed gear. let me tell you this first, i did not know how low quality these bikes were before i bought it. i had never heard of them and 349$ for a complete bike was an offer i could not pass up. however, i wish i did. since i got it i have never been totally satisfied with it. so many things keep going wrong. i did replace the bars, seat, tires and just a few days ago i got new wheels. its way better than it used to be, except for my lockring problem. the frame is good, only because it's so dang heavy :/ but all other components ARE as cheap as they can get on this bike. if anyone is ever thinking about getting a republic, DON'T!! they are not worth it unless you plan on replacing all parts except the frame.. to make myself feel better i just say i got a 349$ frame with free parts, that doesn't sound too bad. oh and if anyone knows dates on group rides in denver you should let me know. thanks!
