Hello from Cambridge, MA
Hi--Like many people, I learned to ride as a wee tot, but over the years the actual amount of riding has varied somewhat. My current bike is a Trek 830 I purchased in 1996. Shortly thereafter, I moved to Brooklyn, NY, where I did not do as much riding as I would have liked, though I did ride around Prospect Park some times. Now we are back in Mass., and getting into cycling again. Last year, I switched the original knobby tires on my Trek for Nimbus Armadillo tires, and my wife talked me into getting clipless pedals. I was kinda skeptical at first, but now I really like them. Changing these things around has really made riding more enjoyable. I even splurged on some cycling clothes and a nice set of panniers so I could do some of my around-town errands with the bike, which makes even more sense now that we live in Cambridge and I want to avoid using the car as much as possible. I am still something of a "fair weather" cyclist, though. At some point, depending on finances, I would like to get a lighter-weight bike for longer rides and keep the Trek for utility rides (the road surfaces here are almost as bad as riding off-road! I don't understand how people can stand to ride their skinny little racing bikes around here.) In any case, I've been enjoying learning more about cycling and taking care of my bike and that sort of thing. So that's my story.

Whereabouts in Cambridge are you and where do you ride? Looking forward to further posts.
