Hello From the Finger Lakes, NY
Friends call me Clay, or Ren, it doesn't matter to me. My family (wife, 6 yr old and 11mos old daughters) currently live outside of Dryden, NY. I originally intended to buy a nice road bike, but couldnt force myself to spend that kind of money (buyer's guilt I guess), and settled on a hybrid. Though I still really want a road bike, whether I end up buying a new one or fixing up an older one, it doesn't matter, but I will eventually have a road bike as well.
I took up cycling to get in better shape and to drop some extra lbs, built up over the years. We moved here a few years ago from being born and raised in CA for a lifestyle change, and to apprentice at a winery with the hopes of opening our own winery within a few years. I worked full time at the winery The fall of 2007, and as needed since then. My day job is @ Cornell University.
I lurk mostly, building up knowledge on the subject, but thought I'd introduce myself, considering I've already posted a few things, with no formal introduction.
Hobbies:
Photography (link to site is in signature)
Martial Arts (Chen Taiji, Yin Bagua, Iaido, Shinkendo, etc.)
Music (I play the cello, violin, guitar, bass, piano)
Outdoors (hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, getting lost in the woods)
and of course Cycling.

Welcome.
I have never been to the Finger Lakes region, but it is on my list of places to visit.
You will find plenty of threads in a variety of our forums that show there are others here that enjoy photography as a hobby, or profession... So enjoy.
If you enjoy the thought of an older road bike, and want to hang out people with a passion for it, check out the Classic & Vintage forum...

If your photos are any indication, along with what I have heard, I think I will enjoy it a lot.
