New from Austin
Hi my name is Tim,
I'm new to the forums and I'm in Austin, commuting now! I just really started to get into commuting but never really loved it (on my old Walmart bike) until my old bike started breaking down and I decided to get a serious new commuter! Now I can't resist a bike ride and I can't wait to get on it! I love it!
I've been biking on and off for 16 years but most consistently and seriously in the last 2. I want to move away from cars nearly altogether!

Just love that Austin town. I lived there in the 80's. Is "Huts Hamburgers" still open??

my new bike
I got this Trek 7.3 FX Road Path bike that just feels like magic and is a piece of cake to ride. It was like love at first ride. I tried other bikes and none of them felt right. Now I'm trying to figure out if I should invest in expensive locks so I can lock it up during class outside during the day or just find someone who will let me put it inside!
