Good day fellow cyclist,

I'm Bones, I ride a 08 Giant Bowery (SS not Fixie) esentially stock, I do have some Quartz clipless pedals thrown on there for good measure. Most of my riding is for commuting purposes but I do not shy away from a good ride with the freaky fixie folks out here in Winnipeg.

I joined for a few reasons, 1) my bowery is creaky, I hope to resolve it tonight but may need additional advice. 2) Seats, mine is uncomfortable, but how pricey to go? 3) I'm looking to switch over to a nice steel frame possibly in the spring, I've had my Bowery for 2 seasons and while it's done a fine job and reignited my passion for cycling i'm ready to upgrade.

p.s. I ride fast

Welcome to Bike Forums. Check out the Singlespeed & Fixed Gear forum.

As for saddles, it really depends on your body, not the price of the saddle. Expensive saddles work for some people but are torture for others. Check with your local bike shop to see if they will let you try before you buy.
