What the heck happened to me?

I did a Google search on my old bike that I have had since high school and got connected to a vintage CCM thread here. I was just wondering if it was worth anything. Then I dragged my wifes Fuji S12-S mixte out from under the cover it's been hiding under for nearly 20 years to have a look at it. She spots me and says, "what are you doing with my bike? You're not thinking about selling it are you?" I said I was. She says, "Oh no you don't. I have been after you for years to get that going so I can ride it." I said no you wont, she says yes I will etc. To make a long story shorter, the Fuji is apart in my workshop getting all its bearings cleaned and lubed and I have a new Motobecane Mirage Pro on the way. Yeah, I know I did all the net research about the brand. It still seems like a screaming deal for the money and a good way to get back into biking without committing a fortune to it. I can always upgrade later if/when the bug hits hard. I was an avid rider as a teenager and young man but haven't ridden in 25 years or so. Its time to get off the motorized two wheeler from time to time and get the old heart and lungs back into shape. Looking forward to hanging out with you characters.

Welcome to Bike Forums, Bob. It's nice that both you and your wife are getting back into cycling.
