Hi everyone! A few months ago I decided to make some changes in my life. I started going to college, I'm eating a lot better, and trying to get into shape(definitely a clyde!). I use to love bicycling as a kid, so I figured that would be a good way to get into better shape.
Right now all I have is a beach cruiser, I'm trying to save up some money to get a entry level bike, but I'm more or less broke being a college student who works for his dad doing construction related stuff, but there has been very little work the last year and a half.
I live in florida and am riding around my grandparents neighbor hood, a giant 'circle' around a lake, about 5 miles, almost no flats, all ups and downs.

Welcome to Bike Forums. Riding hills on that beach cruiser will greatly improve your strength. It will be good preparation for when you get you new bike.
