great site
I'm steve from the hudson valley in new york. I started riding just over a month ago after not riding for years. This site is great, full of good info and tons of entertainment for those days that I just can't get out and ride.

welcome to bf, steve!
good to read that you're back in the saddle - i'm getting ready to hit 20,000 miles after many years off the bike as well...
do you plan to ride during winter, too?
(we're kinda fortunate down here in being able to ride year 'round)
and don't forget to post some pics of your rides!

I did not want to spend too much on a high end bike until I was sure I would really get into riding regularly so I picked up a Diamondback Insight for starters. It's a good ride and now that I know I'll stick with riding I will upgrade in the spring, possably to a drop bar road bike. As far as winter riding-I'll ride until the temps drop to the low 40's then go indoors with a trainer or a roller setup.
