I've been perusing this site for a while now, and figure it is well past time that I introduce myself:
My name is Jeff, and I have been riding, and learning to wrench, since I was a kid. I took up mountain bike at 14 (I'm 23 at the moment), though I still have a long way to go in learning the basics. Two years ago I took up commuting by bike, and try to do so as often as possible, and about the same time started to try out road riding.

Listed below are my current rides: (I only actually have one Brooks, each bike just happens to have been wearing it when photographed)

Thylacine Arete (I got an insane deal on the frame on Ebay):

1991 Specialized Sirrus Triple, currently just a rolling chassis, as I build it up 2x10 (mostly 105):

1990's Trek 820 (My landlord was throwing it away), Currently my commuting rig:

Howdy Jeff and WELCOME ! As for ...basics...? Seems like you HAVE beyond the basic fleet let alone so very much to learn. I suppose we all have stuff to learn. All very tasty and that's a serious/heavy duty commuter.

Thank you, it is good to be here. For the past few months the Trek has (strangely) been the bike that I have most enjoyed riding. After having ridden clippless for the past few years, there is something almost liberating about a bike that I can just hop on, and ride without any sort of preparation.
