Hello from Snowland!!!

I know, I know, it is winter, and we just had this bing snow storm here. I live close to Washington D.C. However, having free time and waiting for the new year 2010, I have already started thinking on cycling. I like it, but I never decided to dedicate too much time. Now, I have plans to join all the bicycle lovers!! I would appreciate any suggestions, ideas, and leads how to start and build up my skills. I really would like to take long rides when the weather gets better. I have been taking rides, but they were never long. Please share your expertise, THANKS!!!

Welcome to BF.
Just start riding. The more you ride the stronger you will become.
Go slow don't be concerned about speed, just have fun.
Take on problems as they arise, flats, sore butt, hands and feet.

What bike do you now have?
