Hi from SoCal
Hi all,
I'm a mechanical designer that has decided to resurrect an iZip Chopper that I got for my son a few years ago (when they were $400+). He never took to it, so it only has 15-20 hours on it; it's practically new.
I have either a bad battery, charger, or some electrical issue. Won't take a charge and sometimes wont trigger the charger to start the charging cycle.
I plan on using it for short distance trips around town - weather permitting. I plan on making a couple saddlebags big enough to hold a gallon of milk each. Maybe a small backpack type setup for storage on the forks.
I'd like to learn about motors, controllers, batteries and such. I would like to see what I can do to improve it's performance.
Rick
