Greetings from Cincinnati
Hello, everyone. After not riding a bike for over 25 years, I am getting back into cycling at age 45, mostly for the fitness aspect. For now, I am a "casual cyclist" meaning I mostly ride around neighborhoods and park trails near my home, but my intent is to get myself back into good enough shape so that I can someday tackle longer rides. Two things helped renew my interest: First, my daughter doesn't like riding alone, and there are few kids her age in the neighborhood. Then, as if on cue, a neighbor who was moving out was getting rid of his Puch Meteor Luxe road bike. I took possession of it, and while it is rideable, it does need some work. I don't know if I should fix this one up, or put the money in a new bike, so I welcome any thoughts and opinions on the subject.
Thanks, and if there's anyone else in the Cincy area, let me hear from ya. |

That's pretty much what mine looks like. Apparently Puch contracted with a Taiwanese manufacturer, as there are decals on mine that say "Manufactured for Puch" and "Made in Taiwan". The components on it are labeled "Suntour Honor", but I have no idea of their quality.
Thanks for your advice. I will probably just put some inexpensive rubber on this to get me by until I can buy a new bike. |
