I'm a beginner bike rider from Brooklyn NY!
My bf and I both just bought folding bikes to ride on the weekends, I've been using this forum for my research before we bought our bikes, a big THANK YOU for the informative post!
I'm a real beginner when it comes to bike riding, I was 13 the last time i was on a bike, now I'm trying to get accustomed to biking with the help of my boyfriend. I hope to be able to ride with confidence and take a bikenewyork.org class to learn about traffic rules and such (I can't drive either) to eventually be able to brave the bike lanes in nyc
I've decide to join the forum after I had a super nice shopping experience with the Xootr bike ppl and wanted to spread the word here, but there seems to be plenty of fans here anyways.
My boyfriend rides a new Xootr swift and I've just ordered the exact same bike (ah.. matching bikes....) , I briefly owned a dahon mu p8 but just sold it to get the swift.
The last couple rides on the dahon mu to the park was very fun, I'm really looking forward to riding the same route with the new swift bike!
