i have a Schwinn varsity road bike and i have acquired a Fuji true temper finest bike that is in need of some work both bikes are road bikes with 700c-25 wheels

classic and vintage? what do you mean the schwinn is 2008-2009 model its was 200's at walmart so not the best on market but good to start with and the other i got from so guy he just gave it if i would fix it just need new tires tubes for em and maybe brakes so i don't know much on that bike

Welcome to BF. I would have that Schwinn checked out by your local bike shop if I were you. I have read horror stories about how bad the assembly/components can be.

only prob i have there is no local bike shop near me to get the right inntertubes so i have to use 27 1 1/8 for the other the fuji when i get more info on it ill get the right tires and tubes for it

yes walmart carries the 27 inch but not the 700c-25 or so on

Welcome Tom. I too am 33 and am getting back into biking by doing part of my commute on it. I gained about 10-15 lbs. when I stopped biking part of the commute, I aim to lose it again.
I'm riding a folding bike now, but will probably switch to a stiffy soon. It isn't worth the trouble on the other end to bring the folder on the train.
Lots of folks here have high-end bikes. But you don't need one to enjoy a good bike ride or have a more healthy commute.
