Los Angeles commuter lady who likes riding fast while wearing skirts
Hello, I am native to Los Angeles, the bike is my salvation from big city blues. I like to visit and run errands in far-across-the-city places in order to get a good long trek. I've never gotten into riding in circles all decked out in spandex, but I ride with the same intensity as those folks that do. I have a 2008 Torelli Corsa Strada, an early 1980's KHS Special 18-speed road bike, and I am greatly desiring to find a 57cm mixte (I am 6 ft tall), so that I can ride in skirts with more ease.
I always end up getting directed to this forum when I'm searching the web, so I'm finally joining the conversation...

Thanks for the Welcome!
Wow, Eiko is awesome! Yeah, riding in a skirt is a lot of fun. I had to give up on the high heels, though. After getting scraped up in some major intersections, I had to admit that their lack of traction is a major detraction from their charms. And I just can't seem to get myself to take it easy once I hit the streets...though I do admire the rare women that I do see who cruise along stately-like dressed to the nines, tractionless shoes and all.
CbadRider, thanks for the tips on women's forum and SoCal forums.
